Frederick is a language-learning app that offers a unique approach to learning English. Unlike traditional lessons, Frederick focuses on making the learning experience engaging, effective, and enjoyable. With Frederick, learners of all languages can develop their reading, spelling, and pronunciation skills through play, all exclusively in English.
Traditional lessons can often be dull, confusing, and ineffective, resulting in many students struggling to become confident readers and speakers. However, Frederick offers a solution by allowing learners to teach themselves English in two simple steps.
The first step involves comparing letter combinations to develop reading skills, pronunciation, and listening. Even non-native English speakers can easily understand with the help of visual aids instead of translations.
The second step involves engaging in fun games that allow learners to review what they have learned in various ways. This approach helps build confidence and fluency naturally.
Frederick covers all aspects of English language learning such as phonics (the rules of pronunciation) and sight words (words that deviate from pronunciation rules). The app covers all 44 sounds of the English language across more than 2,000 words, ranging from basic alphabet knowledge to advanced vocabulary and full sentences.
The "Word Bank" feature allows learners to conveniently track the words they have learned. Additionally, the "Teacher Mode" option allows users to unlock all levels and modes. This ensures that learners can start at the appropriate level based on their abilities.
Furthermore, Frederick can be used offline, making it accessible anytime and anywhere. Learners can easily track their progress using word counters and rewards.
The app offers three levels for free, which cover the alphabet, short vowels and consonants, and three-letter words. To gain access to levels 4-35, users have the option to pay a one-time upgrade fee. For those who make the upgrade within the first 30 minutes of using Frederick, there is a 75% discount available.
Levels 4-35 cover concepts such as consonant blends, consonant digraphs, ng and nk combinations, various word endings, magic/silent e, long vowel sounds (A, E, I, O, U), and more.
Frederick caters to a wide range of learners:
